Here's how you play... Donna (a friend from year's back) tagged me with the letter "N". So now I have to list 10 things I love that start with that letter. So here it goes…...
1. Neon - as in Dodge Neon, my first car. It was a great little car, until my sister killed it!
2. New York - this is where my husband is from and where I hope to get to visit some day.
3. Nightmare Before Christmas - One of our favorite movies from my childhood. Kind of creepy, but the music was great!
4. Night - I love the night, usually I have to sleep through it, but on the weekends we stay up late playing video games.
5. Notes - as in music notes. I love music! Listening to it, playing it.... it has been a big part of my life now and forever.
6. Nerds - I am a nerd... just ask my husband! I was always the brain in school and not one of the popular kid. My friend and I used to compete over who had the higher percentage "A" grade! Also, lets not forget the ever popular candy... one of my favorites to this day!
7. Nuts - my favorites are peanuts, cashews, and macadamias.
8. Nissan - this one is for my husband. He is a fan of all cars Nissan and we now own only Nissans in our family (see previous post).
9. Noodles - since I met my husband, we have had more pasta (noodles) then I had in my whole life before he came along. Spaghetti or Fetticine Alfredo are staples in our house.
10. (The) Notebook - one of my favorite books/movies of all time. The book was great, the movie was great. Sad, but great. Check it out if my haven't already!

My New Car
Our newest addition to the ever changing car lot at our house is this beauty right here! This is my new (to me) 2006 Nissan XTerra. We've had it for a month now and I just love it more and more each time I drive it. We traded in our Chevy Blazer, and I do miss it sometimes, but not really that much... ;) We are now an all Nissan family, just as Bill would want it to be... I'm not too picky, but is was my first choice!

Fourth Pic, Fourth Folder...
I was tagged to post the fourth picture in my fourth folder in my photos. Here's what I came up with:
A LOVELY picture of my own backside! This was taken at Yuba Lake in August 2006. Kacie and I were building sand castles while Bill and Kacie's boyfriend at the time dried off from wading out out in the lake to get to the boat.

New Challenge
Well, the newest news in life is that Bill is diabetic.
His mom thought he might be a couple weekends ago and tested his blood sugar and is was at 353 that Sunday. He watched his carb intake for the next 24-hours and we tested it again and it had dropped to about 240, so we guessed he should be able to regulate it with diet and exercise.
We went to the doctor on Friday for some official tests and still don't have the results, but the doctor agreed that with levels like that he more than likely is, since his Mom is and his Grandpa was. Bill has been eating Low-Carb for a week now and keeps his levels around 120-150, which is so much better. The doctor said he wouldn't need any type of medication now, but would possibly need something later on in life.
Bill has been handling it well and learning what he can and can't eat. He was most excited to learn that he won't have to give up his favorite food in the world... cheeseburgers. Just has to lay off the fries. I have seen him eat more salad in the last week than in the last three years that I have known him! Since he has been good about it, I haven't had to worry too much, but of course only time will tell how things will go in the long run. Everyone would get sick of not eating all the sugary goodnesses this life has to offer if it was forever and not just short term! Of anyone has some good tips on low-carb foods, let me know!

New Member of Our Family
No, I'm not pregnant (as the Subject was be misleading....)
I do finally have some actual news to post on here, though. Monday we adopted another dog. She comes from a family that couldn't take care of her very well, so we took her in as a new sister for Zoey, but they are still adjusting to life in the same house.
Here is a picture of Miyah (pronounced like Mia).
She came with the name and the spelling, as it was on her stocking. She is two and a half years old, so a few months older than Zoey and eight pounds bigger! Her coloring is called brindle and is very rare when it comes to pugs. We aren't sure she is purebred, but she is such a sweetheart, it really doesn't matter!
She has really taken a liking to my dad and Bill, must have a thing for guys! Yesterday she slept for hours in front of my dad's door when he went to bed for the day (since he works graveyard still.)
We are glad to have her as an addition to our home and look forward to more stories as they unfold!
